Tidbit: first two weeks they are referred to as the 'rainbow squad' because they wear civilian clothes until uniforms are fitted. WAVES uniforms: 3 designs. Seasonal two-piece suits, with gored skirts and fitted jackets. The Winter uniform is of Navy Blue serge; and Summer uniform is a short-sleeved, light blue and white pinstripe cotton-blend with dark blue trim; and for Summer dress wear, they are issued an all white uniform. |
